Flashes Sweep to Semifinals at Match Play Challenge

BRADENTON, Fla. - All five Golden Flashes won their first round of the Mid-American Match Play Challenge on Monday in Bradenton, Florida to send the team on to the quarterfinals.

Josée Doyon won 2&1, Michaela Finn 4&3, Amira Alexander 4&3, Taylor Kim 2 up and Wad Phaewchimplee 3 up over their Oakland opponents. The team had a bye into the second round of matches for being the No. 1 seed in the event.

Kent State will face the winners of Northern Illinois/Western Michigan in the third round of matches set to begin Tuesday morning with 7:40 a.m. tee times.
