
Track and Field Splits Up to Compete in All-Ohio Championships and Hilltopper Relays

Kent State's Track and Field teams will split up this weekend and send athletes to the All-Ohio Outdoor Championships in Athens, Ohio and the Hilltopper Relays in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Both events will take place on April 8-9, as the All-Ohio Outdoor Championships will be hosted by Ohio University and the Hilltopper Relays will be hosted by Western Kentucky.

Last Time Out
Last weekend, Kent State's throwers and distance runners were in action at the Ohio Cherry Blossom Invitational in Athens, Ohio.
Reginald Jagers picked up to wins, taking home the hammer and discus throws with marks of 60.35m (198' 0") and 54.04m (177' 3"), respectively. With a heave of 17.76m (58' 3.25"), senior Micheal King captured the shot put title. King also competed in the hammer and discus throws, taking 3rd place (50.49m) and 5th place (47.76), respectively.
On the women's side, senior Jackie Leppelmeier captured the hammer throw title with a mark of 58.54m (192' 0"). In second place Leppelmeier was Gabrielle Figueroa with a distance of 57.58m (188' 11').
Rebecca Leppelmeier was the top finisher in the discus for the Flashes, posting a mark of 49.54m (162' 6"). Jai'Lyn Mosley followed up Leppelmeier in 3rd place at 48.36m (158' 8"), while Ada Nicholson-Burley finished 5th at 45.39m (148' 11").
In the men's 1,500m run, Brandon Avers ran 4:09.61 to finish 1st, followed by Zane Kahkonen Keppler in 2nd (4:09.74), and Nick Schank in 3rd (4:11.34).
Morgan finished 2nd in the women's 5,000m with a time of 18:43.58, followed by Jesse Slingluff in 3rd (18:52.53), Madison Spreitzer in 4th (19:12.77), Robin Foster in 5th (19:23.40).

Men's Team:
• The 4x100m relay team of William Barnes, Jonathan Grant, Brian Smith, and Wayne Gordon ranks 11th in nation and 1st in the MAC (39.74)
• Reggie Jagers ranks 32nd in the nation and 3rd in the MAC in the discus (181' 6")
• Micheal King ranks 44th in the nation and 2nd in the MAC in the shot put (58' 3.25")
• Douglas Moorer Jr. ranks 45th in the nation and 4th in the MAC in the discus (177' 3")
• Donovan Tolbert ranks 46th in the nation and 2nd in the MAC in the triple jump (49' 7")
• Jesse Oxley ranks 48th in nation and 3rd in the MAC in the pole vault (16' 8")
• Jacob Swords ranks 2nd in the MAC in the 800m (1:50.62)
• Richard Dahome ranks 3rd in the MAC in the 110m hurdles (14.67)
Women's Team:
• Roseanne Erickson ranks T-27th in the nation and 1st in the MAC in the long jump (20' 0.25")
• Jackie Leppelmeier ranks 42nd in the nation and 1st in the MAC in the hammer throw (192' 1")
• Samantha Tollerud and Morgan Estes rank T-50th in the nation and T-2nd in the MAC in the pole vault (13' 1.25")
• Gabrielle Figueroa ranks 55th in the nation and 2nd in the MAC in the hammer throw (188' 11")
• Rebecca Leppelmeier ranks 59th in the nation and 1st in the MAC in the discus (162' 6")
• Taylor Wickey ranks 2nd in the MAC in the 800m (2:12.16)
• Jai'Lyn Mosley ranks 2nd in the MAC in the discus (159' 6")
• The 4x400m relay team of Tyler Williams, Jorian Ordway, Kayla Seymour, and Taylor Farquhar ranks 2nd in the MAC (3:47.33)
