KENT STATE GAME NOTES
KENT, Ohio - The Kent State University men's basketball team (11-9, 3-4 MAC) will seek its third straight win against the Central Michigan Chippewas (13-7, 3-4 MAC) Saturday at noon in the M.A.C. Center on CBS Sports Network.

- The Kent State University men's basketball team returns to the M.A.C. Center in search of its third straight win, taking on the Central Michigan Chippewas. It is the only matchup of this regular season.
- The Golden Flashes are coming off back-to-back wins, starting with the team's home win over Toledo in front of a sold out crowd, 85-61. Three days later, Kent State avenged a home loss against Northern Illinois, winning on the road by a score of 73-66.
- Kent State will be holding a Slam Dunk Brunch for students prior to the game. From 11:15-Noon in the M.A.C. Center lobby, students can dine on eggs, bacon, pancakes and more breakfast items from Diving Services.
- Following Saturday's game, the Flashes will hit the road for back-to-back games. Kent State will travel north on Tuesday to face Eastern Michigan, and south on Feb. 4 to face Miami (Ohio). Both games will be available on ESPN3.
- Saturday's game will be the 87th matchup between Kent State and Central Michigan. The Flashes hold a 45-31 record all-time over the Chippewas.
- The Flashes dropped their last game against the Chippewas in 2016, but have won 14 of the last 16 games in the series, dating back to 1998.
- Kent State is 27-9 against Central Michigan at home and have not been beaten by them in the M.A.C. Center since Feb. 26, 1997.
- Central Michigan enters the game at 13-7, having won three of their last four games in MAC play. They've defeated Toledo, Bowling Green and Miami all at home in league action.
- Keno Davis is in year five with Central Michigan, with previous head coaching stops at Providence and Drake.
