
No. 12 Women's Golf Finishes Regular Season in Columbus

KENT, Ohio – The No. 12 Kent State women's golf team will close out the regular season defending its title at the 2017 Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational, hosted by Ohio State April 15-16 at the Ohio State University Golf Club Scarlet Course.
The tournament begins with a shotgun start Saturday at 8:30 a.m. 36 holes will be played Saturday, with the last round teeing off Sunday at 8:30 a.m.
Teams competing against the Golden Flashes are: hosts Ohio State, Illinois, Indiana, Indianapolis, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Penn State, Rutgers, No. 20 Texas and Toledo.
The Flashes will be defending their 2016 title at the Lady Buckeye, the program's fourth trophy and second straight at the annual event. Last year, Kent State won by finishing five strokes ahead of Ohio State and Indiana, while placing all four scorers in the top-20.
Overall, the Scarlet Course has been kind to the Flashes. Kent State's 2016 final team score of 878 is a course record. Former Flash Josee Doyon is still the owner of the course's best individual mark of 4-under par 212.
