Three Flashes Set to Compete in NCAA Regionals
The Kent State men's and women's cross country teams will send three combined runners to compete at the Regional Cross Country Championships on Friday at Indiana State University in Terra Haute, Indiana.
Junior Clark Bookman, freshman Alex Stamper and freshman Leah Lisle will represent the Flashes and compete as individuals in the race.
The women's 6K will begin at 11:15 a.m., followed by the men's 10K at 12:15 p.m.
Bookman finished in 11th place at the Mid-American Conference championships, earning second team All-MAC honors. In addition to a strong performance at the MAC championships, he has finished has two more top-five finishes this season including a win at the Tommy Evans Invitational.
Stamper, who finished in 23rd place at the MAC championships, will join Bookman in the race. He has two top-15 finishes on the team which ranks second on the team.
Lisle will represent the women in Indiana coming off her best performance of the season where she finished 41st at the MAC championships and crushed her season-best time in the 6K by over 30 seconds. She also finished inside the top 15 at the Tommy Evans Invitational earlier this year.
