Copley Receives MAC East Offensive Player of the Week Nod

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Kent State freshman Morgan Copley has been named Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday evening.
Copley hit better than .400 in both matches to lead the Golden Flashes to a 2-0 weekend at the M.A.C. Center. Copley posted a team-high 16 kills and .433 hitting percentage in a five-set come-from-behind victory on Friday against Toledo. The freshman opposite went for 15 kills and a .424 hitting percentage to help Kent State sweep Ball State on Saturday. Copley totaled 31 kills (3.88/set), four blocks and a .429 hitting percentage on the weekend.
Kent State starts the second half of the MAC schedule next weekend at Northern Illinois and Western Michigan to start a stretch of five consecutive road contests.
