KENT, OHIO- At this weekend's game against Miami, the Kent State football team will be recognizing professors as part of the team's Most Valuable Professor (MVP) initiative.
The MVP program focused on seniors who are in their last year of eligibility. The senior was asked to provide the name of one faculty member who made the largest impact on them during their time at Kent State University.
Those being recognized were chosen by these students. Each student wrote a hand-written thank you note to their MVP and filmed a video on why they chose the person they did, which can be seen at the top of the article.
The thank you notes were hand delivered to each faculty member, along with a mini helmet and tickets to this weekend's game against Miami. Coach Lewis also surprised two faculty members at their classroom and thanked them for their work and impact that they have had with the student-athletes.
