Flashes Tied for Fifth After Two Rounds at the UCF Challenge

ORLANDO, Fla.- The Kent State women's golf team shot an even-par 288 on Monday in the second round of the UCF Challenge at Eagle Creek Golf Club to be tied for fifth place. The Flashes are 7-under par 569 after two rounds, two shots back of third-place Kennesaw State, heading into Tuesday's final round in Orlando, Fla.
No. 6 Vanderbilt leads the tournament at 16-under-par 560, which is one shot ahead of Miami.
Karoline Stormo is just four shots out of first place as she's 5-under par 139 (68-71) and tied for eighth. She had 16 holes for par or better to finish her round on Tuesday as she carded a 1-under 71.
Thitapa Pakdeesettakul mirrored her first round score with a 1-under 71. Through 36 holes, Pakdeesettlak sits at 2-under 142 (71-71) and is tied for 16th after her four birdies in the second round.
Pimnipa Panthong is tied for 22nd place at 1-under 143 (70-73), while Michaela Finn sits in a tie for 45th at 2-over par 146 (72-74).
Chloe Salort cut two strokes off her opening round score with a 1-over 73 on Monday. She is tied for 66th.
Kory Nielsen is playing as an individual and made a stroke improvements over her first round score with a 1-under par 71 on Monday. She is 1-under par 143 for the tournament.
