
Flashes Wrap up Regular Season in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Ohio- The No. 11 Kent State women's golf team will close out the regular season at the 2019 Lady Buckeye Spring Invitational, April 13-14 in Columbus, Ohio.
The two-day, 54-hole tournament will feature 15 teams from across the country on the Buckeyes' own par 72, 6,228-yard Scarlet Course. The tournament begins with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start both days, with 36 holes Saturday and the a final round Sunday.
The Flashes will compete in a 15-team field that includes ranked No. 21 Michigan State, No. 30 Ohio State, No. 43 Washington. Other teams include, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Penn State, and Wisconsin.
Competing for the Flashes this weekend will be senior Michaela Finn, juniors Pimnipa Panthong and Karoline Stormo, Sophomores Kory Nielsen and Chloe Salort, and freshman Thitapa Pakdeesettakul.
Last season, the Lady Buckeye Invite was shortened as rain caused the final round to be canceled. Panthong was named co-champion with a 3-under 141 score, while Kent State finished second with a 9-over score.
