
Flashes Finish Round Two After Suspended Play

FAYETTEVILLE, ARK.- The second round of the 2019 NCAA Women's Golf Championship was completed Sunday at Blessings Golf Club after the weather had suspended play on Saturday. Kent State ended the day in 21st place at 49-over after the round had been completed.
Due to the weather, the tournament's stroke play competition was shortened from 72 to 54 holes. The final round of stroke play is scheduled for Monday at the Blessings Golf Club. The top eight teams after the third round will advance to the match play portion of the tournament to determine the team national champion.
Duke leads through 36-holes at 2-over par, followed by USC at 11-over and Texas at 12-over. Arizona and championship host Arkansas are tied for fourth at 14-over, Stanford is sixth at 20-over, Purdue is seventh at 22-over, while Northwestern holds the eighth spot at 23-over.
Only two Flashes were in action Sunday to complete their second round. Thitapa Pakdeesettakul finished her round at 10-over, while Pimnipa Panthong closed out an 8-over second round. Michaela Finn (E), Karoline Stormo (+2), and Chloe Salort (+6) finished their rounds on Saturday before the suspension of play.
Kent State will have the early tee time beginning at 7 a.m. CT (8 a.m. ET) on Monday in the final round. The Flashes will be paired with San Jose State and Central Florida and tee off the No. 1 hole.
