KENT, OHIO- Kent State junior quarterback Dustin Crum was named the Mid-American Conference East Division Offensive Player of the Week for his efforts in the 62-20 win over Bowling Green on Saturday.
Crum set a career high for the third-consecutive week, throwing for 316 yards and three scores while adding 65 more yards on the ground in the victory. It was the first time in his career throwing for multiple touchdowns and it was the first three-TD game for a Kent State quarterback since Mylik Mitchell in 2016.
The junior signal caller was extremely accurate, hitting on 26-of-31 throws against the Falcons. It's the highest completion percentage (83.8) for a Kent State quarterback since 2015 (min. 20 attempts). Crum connected on touchdowns of 3, 39, and 53 yards. It's the third-straight game for Crum with a touchdown pass of 50 yards or longer.
Crum helped lead the Golden Flashes to the most points in a game since 2004 (69 vs Eastern Michigan) and the most yards (750) in Kent State history.
This marks the fourth-straight week the Golden Flashes have earned a MAC Player of the Week honor as Crum joins Derek Adams (Weeks 1 and 3) and Matthew Trickett (Week 2) among those who have earned the honor.
Kent State enjoys their bye this week as they will prepare for #8 Wisconsin on October 5th in Camp Randall. Game time and television coverage have not been announced.
