KENT, Ohio — Kent State women's basketball head coach Todd Starkey announced that former Penn State forward Bexley Wallace has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Golden Flashes.
The 6'3" Pickerington, Ohio native played in 51 games over the past two seasons for the Lady Lions and will sit out the 2020-21 season due to NCAA transfer rules. She will have two years of eligibility remaining.
"We are really excited to add a player as talented as Bexley to our program," Starkey said. "She is a great fit with what we do as a program. Her best basketball is still ahead of her and we are eager to welcome her into our basketball family."
Ranked as the nation's No. 91 prospect in the class of 2018 by Prospect Nation, Wallace helped Pickerington Central capture the OHSAA Division I state championship during her senior season. In 2015, she was a member of the USA Basketball U16 National Team that captured the bronze medal with a 4-1 record at the FIBA Americas U16 Championship in Puebla, Mexico.
Kent State captured its second Mid-American Conference East Division title in the past four years this past season and was the highest seed of the remaining four teams in the MAC Tournament when the event was canceled on March 12.
