Flashes still hope to finish what they started

On January 8, the Kent State women's basketball team suffered its second straight setback to open the 2020 Mid-American Conference season.
On March 4, the Golden Flashes clinched a share of their second MAC East Division championship in the past four years by defeating preseason conference favorite Ohio University at the M.A.C. Center.
On March 11, the Flashes knocked off defending champion Buffalo in the 2020 MAC Tournament quarterfinals at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. The top two seeds were upset, leaving No. 3 Kent State as the highest remaining seed.
