
Baidy Ba Posts First Collegiate Win at Falcon Invitational

BOWLING GREEN, Ohio — Freshman Baidy Ba won the men's 8K race as the Kent State cross country teams had four top-10 finishers Saturday at the Falcon Invitational.
Ba crossed the finish line in a time of 25:59.59, more than four seconds ahead of the next closer runner, for his first collegiate victory. Sophomore Joe Farley continued his strong season, finishing in 26:22.59 for sixth place.
Graduate student Stephanie Ward and senior Leah Lisle both had top-10 efforts in the women's 6K race. Ward crossed the finish line in 23:07.96 for fifth and Lisle took eighth with a time of 23:35.77.
Kent State will next be in action at the Mid-American Conference Championships on Saturday, Oct. 30 in Ypsilanti, Michigan.
