
Flashes Host Towson to Start the Week

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State men's basketball team (4-2) hosts Towson (5-3) inside the M.A.C. Center on Monday, Dec. 6.
Head Coach Rob Senderoff is coming off win number 200 in convincing fashion over Point Park. The Golden Flashes defeated the Pioneers by 66 points and scored 107 points in the beat down. The Flashes shot 60 percent from the field and 52 percent from long range in the win.
Sincere Carry is the Golden Flash to keep an eye on this season, leading the team in points per game (15.8) and assists per game (5.3) while third on the team in rebounds per game (5.2). True freshman Jalen Sullinger proved his ability to score the basketball against Point Park, pouring in a career-high 24 points - the most by any Kent State player this season. Justyn Hamilton recorded his first double-double of the young season, scoring 14 points and grabbing 12 rebounds.
Giovanni Santiago hit his stride from beyond the arc against Point Park, going 6-for-6 from deep and scoring a season-high 18 points. Santiago is now shooting 43.8 percent from three on the season to tie for the team lead among Flashes with 10+ attempts. DJ Johnson tied his KSU-high against Point Park with nine points and grabbed a career-high eight boards.
Scouting the Tigers
The Tigers are led by senior Cameron Holden who leads Towson in scoring (17.1ppg) and rebounding (10.4rpg). The 6-5 guard has scored in double figures every game this season and posted a season-high 25 points against Pitt. Holden also leads the Tigers in steals (17) and is second on the team in assists (20).
Terry Nolan Jr. can score the basketball as well for the Tigers. He's second on the team, averaging 12.8 points per game while also posting a season-high 25 points against Penn. Nolan Jr. also leads Towson with 27 assists. Nicolas Timberlake is the shooter for Towson, leading the team with 14 made three pointers.
