
Flashes Post Second-Place Finish at Florida State Match-Up

TALLAHASSEE, Fla.- With an 892 (+28) finish, the Kent State women's golf team finished in second place after posting a 308 (+20) score in the final round of the Florida State Match-Up.
Emily Price led the Flashes with a 54-hole total of 221 (+5) and finished tied for sixth. Price finished the final round at 74 (+4) after she birdied three times.
Valentina Albertazzi shot a 77 (+5) score on the day and finished tied for 12th at 223 (+7). Albertazzi led the tournament on par-5 holes with a 6-under mark. Kory Nielsen finished tied for 22nd with a three-round total of 225 (+9). Nielsen fired an 80 (+8) for her final round. Nielsen led Kent State with a total of 11 birdies in the tournament.
Caley McGinty shot a 78 (+6) in the third round and finished with a 226 (+10) score, placing tied for 24th. Chloe Salort rounded out the Flashes' lineup with a 228 (+12) three-round score and finished tied for 28th. Salort shot a 77 (+5) score in the final round.
Kent State returns to action March 13-14 as the Flashes travel to Georgia to compete in the Valspar Augusta Invitational.
