
Kent State in Third After Opening Day at General Hackler

MYRTLE BEACH, SC- The Kent State men's golf team sits in third place after the opening round of the General Hackler with a 278 (-10) score.
Kent State sits three shots off of tournament leader Lousiville.
Josh Gilkison leads the Flashes and is tied for first after he shot a 66 (-6). Gilkison went 16 holes for par or less and carded six birdies and an eagle on the day.
Cade Breitenstine is tied for eighth after carding a68 (-4) score. Breitenstine fired five birdies and only had one bogey in the opening round.
Julien Paltrinieri shot a 71 (-1) after going 15 holes for par or better with four birdies. Paltrinieri is tied for 23rd. Jared Wilson posted a 73 (+1) and is tied for 47th, while Chris Vandette rounded out the lineup with a 75 (+3) and is tied for 72nd.
Brayden Baldridge, who is competing as an individual it tied for 77th after posting a 76 (+4) score.
Kent State will begin the second round tomorrow morning at 10:15 a.m. and be paired with Louisville and North Carolina. Live scoring is available at golfstat.com.
