Flashes Finish in Sixth at General Hackler Invitational

MYRTLE BEACH, SC.- The Kent State men's golf team finished the General Hackler Invitational in sixth place with a three-round score of 874 (+10). The Flashes finished the third round with a 300 (+12) score.
Cade Breitenstine led the Flashes at the tournament with a tied for 11th place finish with a 216 (E) score through three rounds. Breitenstine carded a 74 (+2) in the final round. His 40 pars were the third-most in the tournament and he led the Flashes on par-4 (+3) and par-5 (-4) holes.
Julien Paltrinieri carded a 74 (+2) in the final round and finished tied for 19th at 219 (+3). Josh Gilkison finished tied for 25th at 220 (+4) after he fired a 78 (+6) in the final round.
Jared Wilson posted a third round score of 74 (+2) and finished tied for 44th with a three-round total of 224 (+8). Chris Vandette rounded out the lineup with a tied for 49th finish at 225 (+9) and completed the final round with a 78 (+6) score.
Brayden Baldridge, who competed as an individual, finished 85th with a 237 (+21) score. He finished the day at 84 (+12).
This was Kent State's third Top-10 finish of the season. North Carolina State took the tournament with an 852 (-12) score.
The Flashes return to action Mar. 28-30 as they compete in the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate in Awendaw, S.C.
