AUGUSTA, Ga. - PGA Tour professional and Kent State alumnus Corey Conners is set to tee off at the 90th Masters Tournament in Augusta, Georgia, on Thursday.
Conners is one of 91 players earning an invitation to the exclusive tournament. He earned the invitation based on his performance at the 2025 Masters, where he finished tied for eighth at 5 under par. He also qualified based on three other criteria: finishing among the top 50 players in the World Golf Rankings on Dec. 31, 2025, and March 30, 2026, and qualifying for the 2025 Tour Championship.
A 2014 Kent State alumnus, Conners won the individual medalist honor at the Mid-American Conference Championship in 2012 and 2014. He finished tied for fourth as an individual at the 2012 NCAA Championships - the best individual finish at the national championship in program history. Conners ranks tied for third in individual career wins, second in individual season wins, seventh in career scoring average and eighth in career top-10s.
Conners earned two All-America honors, three All-District selections, two MAC Golfer of the Year awards, three First Team All-Conference selections, three All-Conference Tournament Team nods, two All-America Scholar citations from the Golf Coaches Association of America, three Academic All-Conference honors and induction into the Varsity "K" Hall of Fame in 2021.
