Flashes Golf Claims Team, Individual Titles at Indiana Invitational

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.- The Kent State women's golf team, led by Emily Price, took home both the individual and team titles at the Indiana Invitational, capturing their third victory of the season.
This is the second-straight week where Kent State has taken home individual and team titles in back-to-back tournaments. The Flashes finished 8-under 856, while Maryland took second place 866 (+2), and Michigan State third 870 (+6).
Price, who finished tied for first, used three straight birdies in the final round and finished the day with a 72 (E). Price finished the tournament at 212 (-4)
Chloe Salort posted the team's lowest score in the third round with a 70 (-2) and birdied four times. Salort finished tied for sixth with a 54-hole score of 216 (E). Kory Nielsen finished tied for eighth at 217 (+1) after she fired a 75 (+3) in the final round.
Caley McGinty started the final round with back-to-back birdies and carded four total to finish with a 72 (E) score. McGinty placed tied for 14th with a 219 (+3) score.
Mayka Hoogeboom birdied five times in the final round and scored a 73 (+1). She finished tied for 21st at 222 (+6). Marissa Kirkwood rounded out the lineup with a 226 (+10) 54-hole score and finished tied for 38th. Kirkwood finished the day with a 79 (+7).
The Indiana Invitational finished the regular season for the Flashes. The team moves on to the 2021 MAC Championship on April 23-24 as the Flashes compete for their 22nd-straight MAC Women's Golf Championship.
