
Former NJCAA All-American Ogle Signs with Golden Flashes

KENT, Ohio — Kent State women's basketball head coach Todd Starkey announced that former NJCAA All-American Abby Ogle has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Golden Flashes.
The 5'8" wing is transferring from West Virginia, where she appeared in five games for the Mountaineers this past season. Prior to that, Ogle played two seasons at Hutchinson Community College in Kansas, earning Third Team All- America honors in 2020.
"Abby is a very accomplished player with a high level of toughness and skill," Starkey said. "We are really excited to add her to our basketball family. She has the ability to be a difference maker for us right away."
During her sophomore season at Hutchinson C.C., Ogle averaged a team-high 15.5 points per game on 59.3 percent shooting from the field and led the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference with 3.7 steals per game. She helped the Blue Dragons capture the Jayhawk West championship and earn an at-large selection for the 2020 NJCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championships. In addition to All-American honors, Ogle also received First Team All-Region VI and Jayhawk West Player of the Year accolades.
