
Golden Flashes Travel to Last-Chance Meets

Members of the Kent State track and field program will compete at last-chance meets at three different sites this weekend in an attempt to earn a qualifying spot for the NCAA East Preliminary Round at the end of the month.
TOLEDO ROCKET INVITATIONAL (MAY 15)
Kent State will send three mid-distance runners to Toledo for competition on Saturday. Drew Johnson will run the mile at 10:25 a.m., while Quintin Cooks and Trey Double are entered in the 800-meter run scheduled for 3:35 p.m.
AKRON FIELD EVENTS PRELIMINARY ROUND QUALIFIER (MAY 15-16)
The Golden Flashes will make the short trip to Lee Jackson Field for field events competition. Throwing events will be held on Saturday, beginning with the hammer throw at 12 p.m. Sunday's action will start at 2 p.m. with the high jump, long jump and pole vault all getting underway.
AGGIE CLASSIC TWILIGHT (MAY 16)
Sprinters will travel to North Carolina A&T for action on the track. The Mid-American Conference champion 4x100-meter relay team of Dejon Manning, Asa Hodrick, Xavier Williams and Jaheim Jones will start the day at 11:45 a.m. Mi'Angel Daniels and Benja Duff will run the 110-meter hurdles at 12:30 p.m., and Daniels will return to the track for the 400-meter hurdles at 3:20 pm. The Flashes will conclude the day at 4:00 p.m. when Ruby Greenwood runs the 200-meter dash.
NEXT UP FOR KENT STATE
Golden Flashes who rank in the top-48 in the region will compete at the NCAA East Preliminary in Jacksonville, Florida from May 27-29.
