
Flashes Ready for NCAA Championships

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.- The No. 16 Kent State women's golf team will compete in the 2021 NCAA Championship at the Grayhawk Golf Club, May 21-26. The Flashes begin their quest for the National Championship on Friday with the first of four rounds of stroke play. The Flashes are scheduled to tee off with No. 18 Texas and No. 20 Maryland at 9:30 a.m. ET on Friday.
The championship format consists of all 24 teams and 12 individuals completing 54 holes of stroke play, with the top 15 teams along with the top nine individuals not on an advancing team competing for one additional day of stroke play to determine the top eight teams for match play competition and the 72-hole stroke play individual champion. The top eight teams then compete in match play for the team national championship.

SEASON TEAM SUMMARY
The lineup is stacked with talent and features three of the top-120 golfers in the country. McGinty stands out as the team's ace, ranking 15th in the nation followed by Price (No. 30), and Salort (No. 87). Nielsen Nielsen, has competed in seven events and averages a 73.63 score, while Albertazzi has competed in five tournaments and averages a 75.07 score.
As a team, the Flashes average a 291.46 score through 8 tournaments. Kent State finished with four tournament wins and had two top-5 finishes. The Flashes have advanced to the quarterfinals in three of the last four seasons.
