
Women’s Golf Concludes Play at Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championships

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – The Kent State women's golf team wrapped up the Mercedes-Benz Collegiate Championship in 11th place, shooting a collective 296 on the final day.
The Golden Flashes finished 26 strokes over par with a cumulative 878 over three rounds. BYU took home the victory with an 854, three strokes ahead of runner-up Miami.
Chloe Salort led Kent State by shooting a 9-over, 222 and tying for 44th. Jennifer Gu carded her second straight round of 72 on Tuesday and finished one stroke behind Salort (223) and in a tie for 51st.
Mayka Hoogeboom and Valentina Albertazzi tied for 58th with a three-round total of 224.
Kent State will be back in action on Oct. 11-12 at the Illini Women's Invitational at Medinah.
