Coral Gables, FLA... The Kent State women's golf team will look to close out their fall season as strong as they started it as the tenth-ranked Flashes hit the links in Florida for this year's Hurricane Invitational.
Kent State jumped ten spots in this week's GolfStat rankings after winning the Sunflower Invitational outright in Lawrence.
Individually the Flashes were led last time out by Mayka Hoogeboom, who won her second event of the season in just three attempts. It was also an excellent day for Jennifer Gu and Noromal Nuchsila, who locked up three of the top six spots for Kent State in second and sixth respectively.
Kent State will be the highest ranked team at this year's Hurricane Invitational, but will be in good company, facing the likes of #15 SMU, #38 Nebraska, #44 Miami and #48 New Mexico.
This will be the final event of the women's golf season in the fall, with play resuming on February 5th for the UCF Challenge in the spring.
Monday's action is set to start with a 8:30 tee time and Kent State will be paired with SMU and Miami for the opening round. Live scoring all week long can be found on GolfStat.com.
