AWENDAW SC... The Kent State men's golf team will have their work cut out for them after wrapping up day one of the Hootie at Bulls Bay Collegiate Invitational in a tie for twelfth with the hosts in Charleston..
The Flashes carded a 289 on the opening day of the invitational but sit just seven strokes out of fifth and ten strokes out of third heading into tomorrows action.
Kent State was led by strong day one performances by Chris Vandette and Jordan Gilkison who sit two and one stroke under par respectively.
Action in Awendaw will resume on Monday with a round two tee time of 9:00 ET.
