Notes:
- This week marks the first time the Golden Flashes have ever competed in The Preserve Golf Club Collegiate. Kent State is the only school in the 11-team field not hailing from the West Coast. The field features six teams currently ranked in the top 75 of Scoreboard's national rankings.
- The Golden Flashes will be hoping to improve on their most recent performance at the Fighting Irish Classic, where the team finished 14th out of 16 squads competing in a strong field. Kent State's best team finish of the Fall was a fifth-place finish at the Pan Pacific University Golf Super League in Japan to open the season.
- Isaiah Ibit is back for the Flashes after missing the Fighting Irish Classic to compete for Team Canada at the World Amateur Team Championships in Singapore earlier in the month. Ibit leads the team with a 71.75 scoring average this season, fueled by five rounds of par or better and two rounds in the 60s.
- Nolan Haynes has taken a step forward as a sophomore throughout the Fall, boasting the team's second-best scoring average at 73.27. Haynes has carded Kent State's lowest individual score in the team's last two events, including a career-best tied 11th-place finish at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational to begin the month of October.
- The lone freshman in Kent State's lineup this week, Liam Curtis has shown flashes of phenomenal play in his debut collegiate season. Curtis posted a 6-under-par 66 in round two of the Canadian Collegiate in September, before recording the first top-20 finish of his collegiate career at the Blessings Collegiate Invitational earlier this month.
- James Newton enters the Kent State team lineup for the first time this season after an impressive individual showing at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational early in October. One of two seniors on the Flashes' roster, Newton carded a 2-under-par 211 at the event to finish tied for third among the 75 golfers competing. He fired a 3-under-par 68 in round three, one of just five rounds in the 60s by a Kent State golfer this season.
- Ramiro Acevedo returns to the Kent State lineup after also impressing at the Tom Tontimonia Invitational. The sophomore posted back-to-back even-par rounds of 71 in rounds two and three of the event to finish tied for 11th place at 2-over-par, his highest individual finish of the season.
- Darcy Hogg will compete as an individual this week at The Preserve Golf Club Collegiate. Hogg made his season debut in the team's last outing at the Fighting Irish Classic before competing in the Golden Flash Individual a week later. In the Kent State hosted 36-hole event, Hogg tied for 10th out of the 26 golfers competing, thanks to a 1-under-par 71 in round two.
