KENT, OHIO- The Golden Flashes are back home at Schoonover Stadium this weekend as they welcome in the Bowling Green Falcons for a four-game set starting on Friday afternoon.
Friday's game has been moved up to four p.m., a Saturday double header and Sunday's single game are set for 1 p.m. start times.
The Golden Flashes are coming off a big win on Sunday over #25 UConn in the finale of the three-game set. Kent State erased a 4-3 Husky lead with runs in the seventh and the eighth in the win. Justin Kirby homered for the third time in four games in the victory, Kyle Jackson ran his on-base streak to 25 straight and Collin Mathews stole home on a double steal and laid down a squeeze bunt to help complete the comeback.

The Flashes will be tasked with slowing down a Falcons offense that averaged over 12 runs per game in winning the final three contests with the Zips last weekend. The Falcon offense is led by the duo of Adam Furnas and Kyle Gurney who are both hitting over .300 and are tied for the team high with six homers and 22 driven in each.
The Bowling Green pitching staff has thrown to a 9.25 earned run average this season. Gage Schenk has been the most successful starter for the Falcons this season, pitching to a 6.34 era in seven starts.
The four games this weekend will be games 197-200 in the storied rivalry. The Flashes have won 128 of the 196 previous contests, the most against anyone opponent in program history.
