BRYAN, TEX... With just two events left on the calendar before the MAC Championship in late April, the Kent State men's golf team will travel to College Station for the 14th annual Aggie Invitational.
The tournament will be played at the Traditions Club, designed by PGA legend Jack Nicklaus and his son back in 2004, and should provide a unique challenge for several teams that will see the course for the first time.
"This is a course that I am very familiar with, but Josh is the only guy in our lineup who has played here before," Flashes head coach Jon Mills said. "We felt like we put in a good week of work and they seem prepared, I love this course and I really feel it fits us well."
Kent State will have an excellent shot at a top spot this week but will face some stiff and familiar competition in the form of #7 Texas Tech, #10 Arkansas and #23 Texas A&M.
Saturday's opening round will begin with a shotgun start for 36 holes with Sunday's action teeing off at 7:30.
