Flashes Host Eastern Michigan for Senior Weekend

KENT, OHIO- The Golden Flashes wrap up the regular season this weekend with a four-game slate against the Eastern Michigan Eagles.
The final series of the regular season gets moved up a day across the Mid-American Conference. Game one of the series starts on Thursday at 6 p.m., Friday's double header starts at one. The Golden Flashes will be honoring eight seniors prior to Saturday's one p.m. finale.
The long ball will be on display this weekend as the Eagles and Golden Flashes rank 1-2 in home runs in both conference play and over the course of the season. The Eagles boast the top two home run hitters in the league in Matt Kirk and Daniel Warkentin, who each have 15 home runs this season. Justin Kirby, Mike McNamara, and Collin Mathews each rank in the top-eight in homers in the MAC and are three of 14 MAC hitters with double digit homers.
Both clubs rank in the middle of the pack on the mound with team earn run averages in the mid sixes. Adam Falinski has been the top starter for the Eagles this season, going 3-3 in MAC play and striking out better than a batter an inning. The Flashes are paced by the lefty duo of Eric Chalus and Ben Cruikshank. Chalus continues to be one of the conference leaders in walks allowed while Cruikshank ranks amongst the best in the MAC with batters hitting a paltry .191 off the junior.
These will be meetings 124-127 between the teams all-time and the third time in the last four years that the two teams will be meeting during a senior weekend for one of the teams. The Flashes took three-of-four last season in Ypsilanti and are 78-45 all time against the Eagles.
The final four games of the 2022 season will be streamed via Box Cast with Dan Griffin and Tyler Henry on the call. Live Stats will also be provided for each ball game.
