
Track and Field Back in Action at Pair of Meets Hosted by Big Ten Programs

The Kent State men's and women's track and field teams will have student-athletes in action at two different meets hosted by Big Ten schools this weekend, sending a majority of team members to the Penn State National Open while others will travel to the Illini Challenge.
PENN STATE NATIONAL OPEN
The Golden Flashes will have 36 student-athletes competing at Penn State University. Competition begins at 2 p.m. on Friday and 10:50 a.m. on Saturday. Live video coverage of the meet will be streamed on BTN+.
Kent State has eight competitors who rank in the top-100 nationally entered for action. Asa Hodrick leads the way in both the men's 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash, while Jaheim Jones (men's 200m), Kristian Kneffler (men's pole vault), Nolan Landis (men's shot put), Grace Luther (women's weight throw), Leah Pasqualetti (women's pole vault), Aliesha Shaw (women's shot put) and Ethan Yost (men's 800m) also own top-100 rankings.
ILLINI CHALLENGE
Kent State will have nine student-athletes competing in horizontal jumps and multis events at the University of Illinois. Competition begins at 12 p.m. on Friday and 11:15 a.m. on Saturday. The meet will be streamed on FightingIllini.com.
NEXT UP FOR KENT STATE
The Golden Flashes will send student-athletes to both the Akron Invitational and Meyo Invitational for competition on Feb. 3-4.
