Flashes Win in Last MAC Regular Season Contest

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Kent State field hockey team (7-9, 5-2 MAC) defeated Bellarmine (7-10, 3-4 MAC) 1-0 this afternoon.
The Flashes came out strong in the first quarter and six minutes into play Alex Sacker converted a penalty corner with assists by Victoria Tinghitella and Bella Carpenter. With offensive momentum, Kent State made eight shots on goal and the Knights made zero.
In the fourth quarter, the Flashes secured four penalty corners in a row, totaling seven during the game while Bellarmine earned none.
Up next, Kent State takes on Indiana to close the regular season on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 12 p.m.
