
Golden Flashes Wrap Up Regular Season in Weekend Contests

The Kent State field hockey team (6-9, 4-2 MAC) take a three-game win streak into the final weekend of the regular season against Bellarmine on Friday, Oct. 27 at 6 p.m. and Indiana on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 12 p.m.
About the Flashes
The Flashes come off a 3-1 victory against Longwood to clinch the Mid-American Conference Tournament spot. Securing four points and converting two penalty corner goals, Eva Usoz continues to lead the team and is ranked fifth in the MAC for goals (9) and points (21). The Kent State defense and Cecile van Eijck held the Lancers to only one goal.
Scouting Bellarmine
The Knights (7-9, 3-3 MAC) close the regular season on Friday against the Flashes. Bellarmine fell to Ohio (8-2) and Ohio State (7-0) this past weekend. Alexa Rastigue is No. 1 in the MAC for defensive saves (5) and Paige Hoyer is fourth in the MAC with 10 goals and 22 points.
Scouting Indiana
The Hoosiers (5-12) are currently on a five-game losing streak, including a 3-2 lose to Ball State in a shootout. Sarah Charley leads the team with five goals and 13 points.
The Series
The Flashes are 4-0 against Bellarmine with a 24-1 goal advantage.
Kent State holds a 4-4 record against Indiana. The Flashes are on a three-game win streak including two overtime matches. Maia Sarrabayrouse scored the winning goal last season in Bloomington.
