Las Vegas, Nev... The Kent State women's golf team wrapped up the final round of The Show on Tuesday and finished the event in 11th place, just one stroke off of a potential top ten finish.
"We didn't play well this week," KSU head coach Casey VanDamme said. "We need to learn how to compete when we don't have our A-game. We had a difficult time doing that but I look forward to returning to Kent and getting back to work."
The Flashes were led by Noramol Nuchsila and a late-surging Leon Takagi, who vaulted into a tie for 34th on the final day with a team-best round three score of 71.
The rest of the team wasn't far behind, with Jennifer Gu finishing just a stroke back of Nuchsila and Takagi while Mayka Hoogeboom rounded out her week just two strokes behind.
#6 Mississippi State claimed the event victory followed by Pepperdine, New Mexico, and the hosts in UNLV.
The Flashes will be back in action on March 6th when they travel to Dallas for the Trinity Forest Invitational.
