Flashes Head to Bowling Green for Last Road Trip of the Regular Season

Bowling Green, OH - The Kent State men's basketball team (22-6, 12-3 MAC) travels to Bowling Green to Face the Falcons (10-18, 4-11 MAC). This will be the second meeting between the two teams this season. The Flashes defeated the Falcons 87-64 inside the M.A.C. Center in their first game. Tip-off is at 5 p.m. and will be available on ESPN3 or heard on 850 AM ESPN Cleveland.
The Flashes look to bounce back from their 82-79 loss against Ball State earlier this week. The Flashes are sitting second in the MAC going into Saturday's game. The Flashes currently lead the MAC with an 11.0 scoring margin and also have allowed only 64.2 points per game.Â
Three players are averaging double-digits including offensive leader Sincere Carry who has recorded double-digits in 24 different games, and seven games with 20+ points, and is second in the MAC with 5.0 assists per game. Malique Jacobs has contributed heavily on both sides of the court leading the MAC with 2.9 steals per game and holding the second spot in the NCAA. Jacobs also averages 12.3 points, 2.9 steals, and 5.0 rebounds per game. Miryne Thomas has been another major contributor averaging 11.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, and has recorded 62 points from beyond the arch.
On the road, the Flashes have an 8-6 record averaging 67.6 points per game with a +2.6 scoring margin. The Flashes have shot 42.4 percent from the field and 65.9 percent from the free throw line.Â
Scouting the Falcons
Bowling Green, 10-13 is currently in a three-way tie for seventh with Miami and EMU in the MAC with a 4-11 record. The Falcons are hoping to snap back from a loss against Miami 75-65.
Bowling Green averages 76.4 points per game putting them fifth in the MAC. They have also shot 72.6 percent from the three-throw line, fifth in the MAC, and are sixth with shooting 45.6 percent from the field.Â
The Falcons are led by Leon Ayers III who is seventh in the MAC with 17.1 points per game. Ayers has scored double digits 24 different times this season including 12 20+ points and a career-high 31 points against Miami (Oh) on Jan. 1.Â

Next up, Kent State will return to the M.A.C. Center for their final two games of the regular season. The Flashes start with Ohio on Tuesday, Feb. 28 at 7:00 p.m. ET and end with their senior night game against TSDTR on Friday, March 3 at 6:00 p.m. ET. Â
