
Track and Field Continues Indoor Competition

For the third weekend in a row, Kent State's track and field team will compete at two different meets. The majority of the program will travel to the SPIRE Indoor Games while others will compete at the Music City Challenge over the course of the weekend.
MUSIC CITY CHALLENGE (FEB. 10-11)
The Golden Flashes will send 10 student-athletes to Nashville for the Music City Challenge, hosted by Vanderbilt. Running events begin at 5 p.m. on Friday and resume at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Jaheim Jones and Asa Hodrick are ranked in the top-100 on the national performance list in both the 60-meter dash and 200-meter dash.
SPIRE INDOOR GAMES (FEB. 11)
Kent State has 51 student-athletes entered for action at the SPIRE Indoor Games in Geneva, Ohio. Running events begin at 9 a.m. on Saturday, and field events start at 10 a.m.
The Flashes have seven student-athletes – Amare Hall (men's long jump), Kristian Kneffler (men's pole vault), Grace Luther (women's weight throw), Alexandre Malanda (men's triple jump), Leah Pasqualetti (women's pole vault), Aleisha Shaw (women's shotput), and Alexander Shields (men's 60-meter hurdles) –ranked in the top-100 nationally in their respective events.
NEXT UP FOR KENT STATE
The Golden Flashes will be back in action at the Al Campbell Invitational in Akron on Friday, Feb. 17.
