Flashes in 14th After Opening Day in South Carolina

Awendaw, SC... The Kent State men's golf team got off to a bit of a slow start but will have plenty of opportunities to climb throughout the week, entering tomorrows round at the Hootie At Bulls Bay in 14th place.
A trio of Flashes find themselves inside the top 50, led by Cade Breitenstine and Chris Vandette who each sit right on par in a tie for 36th.
Down in 42nd and just a stroke back from his teammates, Jordan Gilkison rounds out the members of the lineup in the top 50, using a pair of birdies to stay just one stroke above par.
Monday's action will tee off at 9:30 eastern, and Kent State will once again be paired with Wisconsin and New Mexico throughout the second round.
