Soccer Releases 2023 Schedule

KENT, Ohio – The Kent State women's soccer team has announced its schedule for the 2023 campaign.
Head coach Rob Marinaro is set to lead the Golden Flashes squad for the 23rd season and will look to guide the team back to the top of the conference table. Joining his staff this season as an assistant coach is former Kent State standout Jenna Hellstrom, who finished her playing career as the program's all-time leader in goals (37), assists (33), and points (107).
The Golden Flashes will start the season on the road, facing Oakland in the year's opening match on Aug. 17. The Flashes will host Colgate in their home opener at Zoeller Field at Dix Stadium on Aug. 20 and will welcome Pitt later that same week on Aug. 24.
After a short trip up to Cleveland State on Aug. 27, the Flashes will head west to square off against a pair of PAC-12 opponents in Arizona State (Aug. 31) and Arizona (Sept. 3). Kent State will wrap up the non-conference portion of the schedule on Sept. 10 on the road at Duquesne.
Mid-American Conference play starts on Sept. 21 when Kent State travels to Athens to take on Ohio. The Flashes will finish out the month with a pair of home games against Akron (Sept. 25) and Eastern Michigan (Sept. 28).
Heading into October, the Flashes will take on Central Michigan (Oct. 8), Northern Illinois (Oct. 15), and Western Michigan (Oct. 19) on their home turf. Kent State will play five of its final eight regular season matches on the road, beginning on Oct. 1 at Miami. The Flashes will also travel to Ball State, Bowling Green, and Toledo and will wrap up the conference slate on the road at Buffalo on Oct. 26.
The MAC Tournament will be played Oct. 29-Nov. 5.
