
Pair of Flashes Named to Academic All-MAC Team

CLEVELAND, Ohio - On Wednesday, the Mid-American Conference announced the 2023 Men's Golf Academic All-MAC Team, with a total of 23 student-athletes named to this year's squad.
Among them were a pair of Golden Flashes in Cade Breitenstine and Jordan Gilkison, who put together strong seasons both in the classroom and on the links.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for student-athletes who have excelled in both athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
Both Breitenstine and Gilkison were also named to the Men's All-MAC First Team, with the senior Finance major posting a 3.63 GPA and the sophomore Business Administration major finishing the year with a 3.89. 2023 Men's Golf Academic All-MAC Team Ball State 1.
