
Kent State Dominates Final Greek Exhibition Contest

ATHENS — The Kent State women's basketball team finished a 2-0 week with a 108-24 victory over Amilla Peristeriou BC on Friday.
Each Golden Flash who saw action scored at least four points, with seven reaching double-figures. Freshmen Janae Tyler and Mya Babbitt led the way, as Tyler had a game-high 17 points and grabbed nine rebounds while Babbitt added 12 points. Both recorded four steals as part of a team defensive effort that forced 32 turnovers.
Redshirt senior Katie Shumate finished with 11 points and 10 rebounds for her second double-double of the trip. Sophomores Dionna Gray and Tatiana Thomas also scored 11 points each. Gray added a team-best six assists. Junior Jenna Batsch and redshirt sophomore Kaley Perkins scored 10 points apiece.
The Flashes will continue this unique cultural experience in Greece on Saturday and Sunday before returning to Kent on Monday.
