
Doug Raymond Invitational to Conclude Home Indoor T&F Schedule

The Kent State track and field program will be in action the Kent State Field House for the third straight weekend when it hosts the Doug Raymond Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
The two-day meet is the final home competition for the Golden Flashes and will begin with multis action Friday at 10:30 a.m. Field events will start at 1 p.m. and running events are slated for 5 p.m.
Competition will resume on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. with the men's heptathlon and remaining field events. Running events are scheduled for 11 a.m.
Admission is $10 each day for all spectators ages 5 and up. Doors will open one hour prior to the first event of the day.
PREVIEWING THE FLASHES
Kent State has four student-athletes with top-50 marks in their respective event on the national performance, according to TFRRS, entered for competition.
Alexandre Malanda is the highest-ranked Golden Flash and sits at No. 13 in the men's triple jump after recording a mark of 51'-8.25" at the Akron Dual last Friday.
Kristian Kneffler has cleared 17' in both meets this season and posted a personal-best of 17'-3.5" for a No. 20 ranking in the men's pole vault.
Liam Vinskovich cleared 7'-0.25" in his Kent State debut at the Jud Logan Memorial and sits at No. 27 in the men's high jump.
Del'Mario Hairston won the men's long jump last week with a mark of 24'-2.5" that puts him at No. 49 nationally.
Svenia De Coninck leads the women's team so far this season and ranks 36 in the high jump after setting a personal-best of 5'-9.75". De Coninck is one of five women who will compete in the pentathlon for the first time this season. The Flashes have three men entered in the heptathlon.
NEXT UP FOR KENT STATE
The Golden Flashes will send athletes to compete at the Akron Invitational (Feb. 2) and Meyo Invitational (Feb. 2-3) next weekend.
