Gilkison Wins Second MAC Golfer of the Week Award of Season

CLEVELAND, Ohio – It was announced on Thursday that Kent State's Jordan Gilkison has won the MAC Men's Golfer of the Week award. The senior concludes his final collegiate Fall season by claiming the honor for the second time this season.
Gilkison clinched the first individual win of his career on Tuesday at the Dayton Flyer Invitational over a field of 79 golfers. He recorded three consecutive rounds of par or better, highlighted by a final-round 69, to finish the event at 3-under-par and one stroke ahead of the runner-up. Gilkison has had a stellar senior season thus far, leading the team with a 70.87 scoring average and posting ten rounds of par or better en route to four top-15 finishes.
The Flyer Invitational marked the final event of the Fall season for Gilkison and the Flashes. Following a Winter break, they will return to action on February 10 at the Hal Williams Intercollegiate in Mobile, Alabama.
