
Ba Races into Kent State Record Book at 2024 MAC Cross Country Championships

MUNCIE, Ind. — Kent State senior Baidy Ba finished fourth in the men's 8k race at the 2024 Mid-American Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday to earn All-MAC First Team honors for the third consecutive season.
Ba crossed the finish line in 23:57.78 to join an exclusive group with former Golden Flashes Denise Bobby (1988-90) and Jim Loveless (1988-89, 1991) as three-time first-team performers.
Graduate student Ethan Yost was Kent State's next finisher, taking 44th in 25:41.8 as the men's team placed eighth in the team standings.
Led by freshman Giada D'Agostino, the women finished 11th. Running just her second collegiate 6k, D'Agostino finished in 23:17.4 for 76th place. Senior Sydney Miller was close behind in 78th with a time of 23:19.6.
Kent State will have a week off to get ready for the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships at Silver Creek Cross Country Trails in Norton on Nov. 15.
