
Kent State to Close 2024 Season at Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Kent State Golden Flashes are set to take on the University at Buffalo Bulls on Tuesday evening to close out the 2024 season. Kick-off is set for 7:00 p.m. and will air on ESPN+. Fans can also tune into the Kent State Radio Network as Brendan Gulick and Tom Evans have the call with the pre-game show starting at 6:30 p.m.
Quarterback Tommy Ulatowski is the FBS leader in yards per completion (17.05) and has completed four throws of 60 or more yards this season. Kent State has been among the most disciplined teams in the country, ranking sixth among FBS teams in fewest penalty yards per game (35.36) and 21st in fewest penalties per games (5.00). Wide receiver Chrishon McCray caught his 9th TD of the season during last week's game against rival Akron. McCray is tied for 5th on Kent State's all-time receiving TDs list with 13 in only 21 career games. Redshirt sophomore Mason Maddox has played on both sides of the line of scrimmage this season and recorded a career-high three tackles in hist first start at DT for last week's rivalry game. Maddox has made three starts at LG for an offensive line that has used eight different starting units in 11 games. Safety Josh Baka is tied for 15th nationally in solo tackles per game (5.0). Baka is one of only nine FBS players who have recorded 12 or more solo stops in a game this season.
