Hornbeak Scores Career High as Kent State Cruises Past Miami-Hamilton

KENT – The Kent State Men's Basketball team dominated the Miami-Hamilton in their home opener on Friday night winning by a final score of 98-53. It was a record setting game as multiple Flashes recorded career highs.
The Golden Flashes (1-1) shot 52.9% from the floor en route to scoring 90-plus points for the first time since a victory over Bowling Green on Jan. 23 this past season.
All 11 players that took the floor for Kent State scored. Cli'Ron Hornbeak dropped a career high 18 points while also hauling in a roster leading nine rebounds. KSU has 33 rebounds as a team. VonCameron Davis also scored 18. Jalen Sullinger tallied 11 and Marquis Barnett 10 rounding out the double-digit scorers. Additionally, seniors Mike Bekelja and Morgan Safford each scored nine.
Redshirt sophomore Magnus Entenmann tallied a career high five blocks on his way to seven points and six rebounds on the night.
