Kent State Takes 13th at Spartan Sun Coast Invitational

The Kent State women's golf team wrapped up the Spartan Sun Coast Invitational this afternoon, placing 13^thout of 15 teams.

Leon Takagi finished in the top 20 in her 5^th tournament this season tying for 16^th among the 81 player field. After starting her final round at three over just four holes in, Takagi surged up the leaderboard shooting five under through her final 14 holes to finish at one over par.

Hester Sicking also snuck in the the top 30 tying for 30^th at four over par, building off a top 15 performance in the UCF Challenge.

Veronika Kedronova had the lone eagle for the Golden Flashes in the invitational, sinking the par five 14^th hole in just three shots during her first round of play.

Up Next:

The Golden Flashes will return to action in a little less than three weeks as they will take part in the Jackrabbit Invitational in Boulder City, Nevada, hosted by South Dakota State University.
