Flashes Host Bulls for "eSports" Night

Kent, OH - The Flashes return to the M.A.C. Center for their final two regular season home games. Kent will host the Buffalo Bulls on Tuesday, Feb. 27 at 7 p.m. ET. The Flashes will look to bounce back from a two-game loss last week to finish the final stretch of MACtion. Going into Tuesday's game the Flashes have a two-game winning streak inside the M.A.C. Center
Tuesday's game will be live on ESPN+ with Dan Griffin and Jana Ashley on the call. The game can also be heard on WHK 14420 AM with Rob Polinksy.Â
Last Time OutÂ
The Flashes went 0-2 on the road last week including an 83-70 loss against rival Akron last Friday evening.Â
The Flashes are now 7-6 in the M.A.C. Center, averaging 79.8 ppg with a +6.9 scoring margin on their home court. The last time the two teams met this season, the Flashes defeated the Bulls by 30+ points. Giovanni Santiago led the Flashes with a double-double. Santiago recorded 17 points, 10 assists, and six rebounds. Jalen Sullinger leads the Flashes with 16 points per game in MAC Play. Sullinger has recorded double-digit points in 12 of the Flashes' 14 MAC games, including a 20-point game in their last game against Akron. Davis has recorded double-digits in all of the Flashes' conference games, including three 20+ point games and a double-double in the win over Bowling Green.Â
Kent State is 58th in the country in bench points per game (25.04), 26th in free throw percentage (.758), and 87th in free throw made per game (15.3).Â
Key Players for The Bulls Â
The Bulls are last in the MAC with a 2-12 record and a 4-23 record overall. The Bulls won their first MAC game, 76-64, against Central Michigan and their most recent victory was against Eastern Michigan on Feb. 20 78-69. Buffalo is coming off a 72-91 loss against Western Michigan on the road. Offensive leader Sy Chatman recorded his 13th game with 20+ points on the season while Johnivius Smith had his seventh double-double of the season. On the road, the Bulls average 68.5 points per game while shooting 42.8 percent from the field, 27.7 percent from the three, and 66.7 from the charity stripe.Â
Series Matchup
This will be the second meeting among the teams this season. The Flashes defeated the Bulls on the road 83-52. This is the 58th all-time meeting between UB and the Flashes. Kent State leads the all-time series, 37-21, and inside the M.A.C. Center 20-6. The Flashes are on a four-game winning streak against Buffalo going into Tuesday night's game.

The Flashes will be back inside the M.A.C. Center for their final home game of the season. Saturday's game will be a double-header following the women's game at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 2. The men's game will start at approximately 3:30 p.m. ET. Both teams will be celebrating their seniors.
