Flashes Head to Muncie For Final Stretch of MACtion

Muncie, IN- The Kent State men's basketball team will hit the road for their final two games of the regular season. The Flashes will first head to Ball State on Tuesday, March 5. Tip-off time is scheduled for 7 p.m. and will be available on ESPN+. The Flashes will end the regular season against Toledo on Friday, March 8 p.m. Friday's game will be nationally televised on CBS Sports Network.
Tuesday's game will be live on ESPN+ with Noah Reed and David Eha on the call. The game can also be heard on ESPN Cleveland 850 with Rob Polinksy.Â
Last Time OutÂ
The Kent State men's basketball team went 2-0 inside the M.A.C. Center last week.
The Flashes defeated the Buffalo Bulls for a season sweep 76-64 and then defeated CMU in OT 79-73. Jalen Sullinger led offensively with 30 points and recorded a career-high eight threes against Buffalo. Giovanni Santiago led the Flashes in their OT victory with 21 points and four assists. VonCameron Davis continued his double-digit scoring in MAC play with 11 points and led the team with five assists. The Flashes recorded a season-low of two turnovers against CMU while shooting 79.2 percent from the charity stripe. Giovanni Santiago will crack the Top 10 in games played after the Flashes' last two away games and is now 7th all-time in assists with 361. With the Flashes' victory over Central Michigan, the Flashes clinched a spot in the 2023-24 MAC Tournament.  .Â
Key Players for The CardinalsÂ
The Cardinals are 14-15 overall and 6-10 in MAC play. Inside Worthen Arena, the Cardinals are 8-7. Going into Tuesday night's game the Cardinals are seventh in the MAC. Ball State is coming off a 78-76 OT Loss against Western Michigan. Jihad Basheer recorded 16 points and seven rebounds while Davion Bailey added 14 and Mickey Pearson Jr. added 14 points. Ball State leads the MAC shooting 76.9 percent from the charity stripe.Â
Series Matchup
This will be the second meeting among the teams this season. The Flashes defeated Ball State in their first MAC game of the season 82-69. This will be the 91st time the Flashes and Cardinals meet in program history. The Flashes lead the all-time series 48-42 but Ball State leads the all-time series inside Worthen Arena 30-14.Â
