Meet Schedule

KENT – The Kent State Track and Field teams will head to the Clark Wood Open hosted by the University of Louisville. The meet will begin tomorrow at 11 a.m. with field events and running events will start at 4:30 p.m. On Saturday field events will begin at 10 a.m. and running events at 12:40 p.m.

Kent has 14 athletes and one relay ranked in the top 48 of the NCAA East Region. The top 48 athletes and top 24 relays will qualify for the Regional Championships hosted by Kentucky, May 22-25.

For the men, Jaheim Jones is ranked 23^rd and 22^nd, respectively in the 100 and 200-meter dashes. Sean Callahan Jr. is 47^th in the 100. They are joined by Logan Doyle and Dejon Manning on the 4x100-meter relay team that is ranked 18^th. Alex Shields is 36^th in the 110-meter hurdles. In the field events, Liam Vinskovich is 37^th in the high jump and Kristian Kneffler is 18^th in the pole vault. Ayden Bath rounds out the group ranked 16^th in the decathlon.

On the women's squad, all current qualifiers are in the field events. Svenia DeConinck and Lillie Franks are 25^th and 45^th in the high jump. The duo of Gabby Bailey and Aliesha Shaw are among the qualifiers in both the shot put and discus. Bailey is ranked 37^th and 9^th, respectively and Shaw is 42^nd and 19^th, respectively. Matilde Carboncini is ranked 43^rd in the heptathlon to complete the list of qualifiers for the Flashes.
