
Field Hockey Announces 2024 Schedule

KENT — The Kent State field hockey team is set for seven games in the friendly confines of Murphy-Mellis Field during the 2024 season as the program announced its schedule on Thursday.
The 16-game schedule features eight Mid-American Conference games and nine road contests.
The campaign begins with a two-game home stand against Indiana and Liberty on August 30 and September 1, the latter match-up is the only home contest on a Sunday for the Flashes.
The Flashes open the road portion of their schedule with a three-game slate in The Golden State. First up is Stanford on Sept. 5, Kent will take on California the following day before a day off to prepare for a match with UC Davis on Sept. 8.
The Golden Flashes will return to Murphy-Mellis for home games against Penn State on Sept. 13 and open MAC play on Sept. 20 against Ball State. Kent will play two more MAC contests on Sept. 27 at Longwood and Oct. 4 against Appalachian State.
The Flashes will then close out the non-conference portion of their schedule with a three-game road trip starting in East Lansing, Mich. for a match-up with Michigan State on Oct. 6, On Oct. 11 KSU will travel to Harrisonburg, Va. for their first-ever MAC contest against James Madison. Kent will conclude the road trip on Oct. 13 against in-state rival Ohio State in Columbus.
A four-game stretch of MAC play will close out the season with home contests against Central Michigan and Bellarmine on Oct. 18 and 25, and road games at Ohio and defending MAC Champions, Miami on Oct. 20 and Nov. 1.
The MAC Tournament will be held Nov. 8-9 in Oxford.
